Why Hand Stitched

  • Hand stitching is best for making stitching discrete.
  • In Roman Blinds the sensitive area is the face of the blind, where it is unsightly to see several lines of stitches across the blind, as would be the case if they were machine stitched. Such lines of stitches would also let in light with a blackout blind.
  • If you are hand making a blind, you can use techniques like discrete stab-stitches, to try and maximise the quality of the visual appearance.
